Agentic AI capabilities are coming to CAS SciFinder^® users. 

We wanted to provide you with advance awareness that beginning April 8, 2026, CAS SciFinder users in your organization will have access to our new agentic AI solution, CAS Newton^SM. 

Built for scientific discovery, this Science-smart AI solution draws upon the same trusted information available through CAS SciFinder, ensuring accuracy and scientific rigor, to provide an experience not possible with general AI tools. Also, it operates in a secure, closed environment to keep your data secure and ensure it is never used for training AI models.  

CAS Newton enables researchers to work through complex, multi-part questions to go beyond simply retrieving information. It reasons through it, connects it, and returns actionable answers. 

We will be communicating with your users via email and in-solution post-release to provide them with more information including training resources. We will also be hosting an introductory webinar on Wednesday, April 15, which we welcome you and your users to attend. We encourage you to share this exciting news with your users in the meantime!
